shop update #1

I am SO EXCITED to announce that I will now be selling my own hand-dyed yarn right here on my website.  You can see what I have available right now by clicking on the "shop" tab at the top of the site.  All of my bases are named after places near the Dorchester, Massachusetts area where I live and work.

Right now, I have three bases available:

Dorchester 2-Ply: this fingering weight yarn is a blend of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon, with 400 yards/365 meters per 100 gram skein.  I've used this to make a shawl, and it's incredibly soft and springy yarn.

Quincy Sock: this 4-ply sock/fingering weight yarn is a strong mix of 75% superwash blue faced leicester wool and 25% nylon.  Somewhat more toothy than merino, but very smooth, this yarn comes in a generous put-up of 464 yards/424 meters per 100 gram skein.

Roxbury 4-Ply: this luxury fingering weight yarn combines 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, and 10% nylon.  The cashmere content makes this base incredibly soft and warm, perfect for next-to-skin items like cowls, hats, and socks.  Or, of course, super fancy garments.  It comes in 100 gram skeins containing 435 yards/398 meters.

I will be adding a 3-ply sport weight soon as well - I'm so looking forward to seeing projects grow out of these skeins!  They're like my little babies, getting to be all grown up.
