flashing the stash

Two years ago, my stash fit in one file box.  Like, ONE of those boxes that fit into the IKEA cube bookcase 99% of crafting folk have somewhere in their house.  I had the yarn for my next two, maybe three projects, max.  And NO single skeins; single skeins with no foreseeable plan gave me the heebie jeebies.  Well, now I have two giant plastic tubs full of yarn, plus various project bags with half-finished things in them, plus another box full of single skeins of sock yarn in brown bags.

Plus the original file box, ahem.

And for the most part, it's a pretty curated stash.  I'm oddly proud of it.

Here's the lace, fingering, and sock weight:

Top three rows are wool fingering/sock, bottom left is lace, bottom right is linen fingering.

Here is sport and DK:

Plus bonus cat #1.

And here's worsted, aran, and one lone ball of chunky:

Plus bonus cat #2, who would absolutely not move from this spot.

And here's where it all lives:

This arrangement really leaves something to be desired, but I'm holding off on buying an actual piece of furniture for the stash until we move to the bigger apartment upstairs in July.

On an unrelated note, I just wanted to give a heads up that I'll be posting some food recipe and DIY-type posts here in the near future.  We have some house projects coming up, and I'm experimenting with some weeknight recipes, so I hope you'll enjoy those too.  Thanks for reading!
