My sister Val roped me into coming out of my lurking hidey hole on Ravelry and join the fun for Ravellenics 2016. For those not in the know, Ravellenics runs concurrently with the Olympic games, and as I see it, is an excuse to sit on my butt in front of the TV for hours with a knitting project of some sort. Not that I really need an excuse to do that, but hey.
Between the opening ceremonies tonight (August 5th) and the closing ceremonies on August 21st, I'm going to attempt to do the following two things:
In the WIPs Wrestling category, I'm hoping to finish the sleeves on my Kaisla cardigan:
In the Sweater Triathlon category, I'm going to design, grade the pattern, and execute a test knit of a short sleeved sweater I've had knocking around in my head for awhile. Here's the swatch:
Really, that should probably be categorized as an ultramarathon, because it's going to be drop shoulder and fingering weight yarn. Or whatever you call it when you sprint an ultramarathon...
Let the games begin!
